On December 30, 2025, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien, Vice Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial People’s Committee, conducted a field survey of the Song Loc landfill area and held a working session with relevant stakeholders on the operational status of solid waste treatment, while also inspecting the implementation progress of the Tra Vinh Solid Waste Treatment Plant project.
The event was attended by representatives of provincial departments and agencies, local authorities, and enterprises involved in the project. This was an important activity aimed at assessing the current solid waste treatment situation, reviewing project progress, and addressing difficulties and challenges encountered during project implementation.

The Tra Vinh Solid Waste Treatment Plant project has been identified as a key solution in the province’s solid waste management strategy, contributing to reducing pressure on existing landfills, improving environmental quality, and moving toward a modern and sustainable waste treatment system. In this project, DFS serves as the EPC General Contractor Consortium, implementing the project in an integrated manner from design and equipment procurement to construction, installation, and commissioning.

The project officially commenced on September 11, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the development of waste treatment infrastructure in Vinh Long province. To date, DFS has completed the pile driving works as of December 9, 2025, and is currently implementing temporary works (including fencing, access roads, drainage systems, and site grading). According to the project schedule, key subsequent activities such as boiler installation, pressure testing, power reception, furnace commissioning, and grid synchronization will be carried out throughout 2026. The main construction works of the plant are expected to be completed within 2026, laying the groundwork for the subsequent official operation phase.

In its role as the EPC General Contractor Consortium, DFS is committed to working closely with Vinh Long Province and the Investor, Greenity Tra Vinh Co., Ltd., to ensure the project is implemented on schedule, fully complies with technical and environmental standards, and contributes to the development of a modern, safe solid waste treatment system, thereby improving quality of life and promoting sustainable development for the locality.
