JOB DESCRIPTION

I. Main duties:

Preside over the design and construction of thermal power plants, biomass power plants, waste-to-energy plants... of the Company domestically and internationally.

II. Responsibilities:

1. Lead management and coordination for design-related tasks when working with internal teams and external partners of the Company:

• Capable of planning, managing input parameters and output deliverables, handling interface coordination, and liaising with design teams and the Company’s partners.
• Able to manage design changes effectively.

2. Participate in preparing design documentation (including technical reports & calculation appendices, quantity take-offs) for all project phases from Master Planning to Detailed Design Documentation (Construction Drawings):

• Design of civil works (including reinforced concrete structures, steel structures & cladding, masonry structures, foundations, road systems, etc.) / infrastructure systems (including: water supply and drainage, electrical systems, and various types of technical pipelines) for industrial facilities and power generation projects (Renewable energy: biomass power, solar power, waste-to-energy, etc.).
• Perform structural calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimations to support the Company’s procurement activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and partners to complete assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with departments during bidding, clarification, and contract negotiation processes for the Company's projects.
• Participate in project management and design document approval.
• Other tasks as assigned by management

III. Direct reporting lines

Report directly to: Manager/Deputy Manager of Design Department, Project Leader, and Company Leaders.

IV. Job requirements

a. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction and Architecture.

b. Knowledge:

• General knowledge of project development and construction;
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel; 3D AutoCAD;
• Capable of leading and designing structural and architectural components of construction projects;
• Possession of professional certificates in design and supervision is an advantage.

c. Experience:

• Management experience: ≥ 3 years of experience.
• Professional experience: ≥ 5 years of experience in designing energy projects and project management is an advantage.

d. Skills:

• Strong skills in management and planning
• Critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities
• Proficient in using specialized construction software to support professional tasks
• Skilled in drafting documents and writing reports

e. Other requirements: 

• Have personal laptop or desktop;
• Able to read and understand technical English related to the field;
• Willingness to learn and a strong interest in the Company’s field of operation;
• Capable of working independently, with sharp problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude; able to work under pressure;
• Good teamwork skills;
• Willing to travel for business trips to other provinces when required.
